Brand New to Cleveland...what MUST I do?

topic posted Sun, August 13, 2006 - 1:59 PM by  iago
I've been here for about two months, and I've already settled into my favorite bar (Old Angle), restaurant (The Diner on Clifton), and coffee shop (Arabica). What else is there that I absolutely must check out and do while I'm living here?

I moved from New York City, if that makes any difference at all.

Just down the shoreway from where you are, guessing close to Clifton, you have the Science center with the IMAX theatre inside, THe Rock hall. Lots of live music, pick up a Free times or Scene mag to find those. If youre into Indie movies you'll have to go to the eastside, Shaker Square or Cedar Lee, I know Cedar Lee has a website with whats showing and coming soon.

I'm sure you'll get alot more suggestions. If there is something specific your into let us locals know so we can point you in the right direction.

There is a thread on here about the Cleveland Metro zoo and the shark and stingray petting thing, not sure if that is done or if it is a permanent part now.

ah, you must live close to me! For a nice italian place, check out Peppers on Detroit, just into Lakewood. also the west side market on 25th downtown is something you might like. lots of fresh fruit and veggies in an open air market, then meats and bakery inside. welcome!
